Scrabble Fun Day at MOSI

Today our Scrabble Club was invited to be part of an exhibit at MOSI (Museum of Science and Industry). Expert players were observed while the rest of us played any visitor who wanted to play. It was a wonderful chance to introduce the game to new players and to encourage people who already play at home to consider tournament play. It gives a whole new meaning to bringing your A-game, don't you think? ;)

Our Big Fat Greek Vacation

Curt and I just returned from a 10-day vacation to Athens, Greece. Curt ran the Athens Classic Marathon which covers the route Pheidippides ran from Marathon to Athens in 490 BC to deliver the message that the Athenians had been victorious in a battle with the Persians. The Athenians were prepared to burn the city down otherwise. I entered the 5K and here are our medals. The race finished in the Panatheniac Stadium which was the site of the first modern day Olympics held in 1896. We visited the highlights, ate great food, and met some wonderful people. Here are some of our photos: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2044757&id=1188092517&l=d94b80e317
