Get on the Short Bus, Gus!

Happy New Year. Happy "It's about time I posted a new blog." Holidays get a little crazy, as we all well know. Our office is closed during Christmas and New Year's and this is when Curt and I travel home to split our time between NY and PA to be with family. We stayed home this year. We stayed home so I could stick to my training schedule. And stick to it I did. So Curt worked albeit it mostly half days and I played a LOT of Scrabble in addition to getting some things done around the house. I feel bad admitting it but it
was nice to stay home for a change. New Year's Eve was pretty lame though. I think we were both asleep by 11. We made up for it on New Year's Day though. We took a last minute kayaking trip down the Hillsborough River with Di and Bigun. Di's brother, Dewain, was in town visiting and went along, too. It was a great afternoon.

Don't you just LOVE the short bus? Our bus driver promised us a picture with a helmet when we got back but it was gone. Bummer. :( That would have been a great shot. But I'm happy that the route number looks like the word "Joe." I'm trying to make a moniker calendar for Tom and Joe this year so I'm photographing everything I can with their names. I bought calendars like that for them the year before but it occurred to me that I could make my own. This was a great find. So how did everyone else spend their holidays or their New Year's Eve/Day? Let me know(if you remember!) and have a GREAT TWO THOUSAND EIGHT!
